Moscow: The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, granted an audience to the Ministers responsible for Defense of the Confederation of Sahel States during his official visit to Moscow. The meeting was part of the President’s itinerary in Moscow for the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Russian Victory in World War II.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Defense Ministers briefed President Traoré on the security situation in the AES region, highlighting the progress of the Unified Force of the AES. The Malian Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, Army Corps General Sadio Camara, emphasized the victories being recorded on the ground as a result of the unified efforts.
Captain Traoré provided new directions to the Defense Ministers aimed at securing more effective outcomes in combating terrorism. The Malian Minister of Defense conveyed that President Traoré offered insights into the geopolitical and geostrategic landscape, which are expected to expedite the reconquest of the
confederal space.
The guidance from Captain Traoré is intended to transform tactical victories into strategic ones, paving the way for peace and stability in the ESA area.
