Niger: 30 classrooms built in 45 days by military engineers and patriotic volunteers


Ouagadougou: The Nigerien education authorities received 30 classes built with final materials, with the State’s own funds, in 45 days, by the military engineering services supported by volunteers from the patriotic watch brigade, reported the Niger Press Agency.

‘These infrastructures, built on 6 different sites, are the result of the work of the military engineering of the Minister of Defense and the Patriotic Watch Brigade, under the supervision in particular of the Ministry in charge of Education,’ details the ANP.

‘This project has effectively allowed us to discover that we can build rooms in a very short time (45 days) at a reasonable cost,’ rejoiced the Minister in charge of National Education, Dr Elisabeth Shérif. the works reception ceremony on July 9.

40 other classrooms are being finished on 4 sites and will contribute, according to the ANP, to achieving the desire of the President of Niger, General Abdourahamane Tiani, to provide the country with an efficient education system accessible to all.
