National Education Minister Starts Visit to Switzerland to Strengthen Cooperation in Vocational Training

Bern – Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Said Amzazi, started Tuesday a working visit to Switzerland with the aim of discussing the means to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the areas of education and vocational training.

Amzazi held a working session on this occasion with Vice-President of the Swiss Confederation and Federal Councillor, Guy Parmelin, Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER), which focused on the means to further develop relations between the two countries.

During this working session, which took place in the presence of the Moroccan ambassador in Bern, Lahcen Azoulay, the Swiss Vice President welcomed the positive dynamic experienced by relations between the Kingdom and the Swiss confederation, stressing the willingness of the Confederation to examine all proposals intended to strengthen and diversify these relations.

For his part, Amzazi highlighted the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, underlining the willingness of Morocco to strengthen these relations through transfer of knowledge and expertise to support the projects initiated in the Kingdom in the area of professional training, develop skills and employability of young people and enhance the competitiveness of Moroccan enterprises.

The minister also shed light on the Roadmap for the development of vocational training, which was presented to HM King Mohammed VI, as well as the strategy of his department on the reform of the sector of vocational education.

During his working visit to Switzerland, Amzazi will hold talks with several Swiss officials from the vocational training sector.
