The Kingdom was represented at this conference, held at the initiative of the Czech Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Health, by a delegation led by Secretary General of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, Abdelkrim Meziane Belfkih, and including Hanane Saadi, Ambassador of the Kingdom to the Czech Republic.
The speech of Meziane Belfkih at this conference, which brought together delegations representing eight African countries, focused on the Moroccan experience, the approaches adopted by the Kingdom and the lessons learned from the Covid-19 pandemic, which have highlighted the resilience of the national health system, thanks to the proactive vision of HM King Mohammed VI, said a statement by the Embassy of the Kingdom in the Czech capital.
On the sidelines of this conference, the Moroccan delegation held bilateral talks with several Czech officials, including Jurecka Marian, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, and the Deputy Minister of Health, Jakub Dvoracek.
The talks were an opportunity to present the major projects initiated in Morocco in the field of health and which are personally monitored by HM the King. The two parties also discussed bilateral relations and ways to further strengthen them.
In addition, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection met with the Minister of Health of Côte d’Ivoire, Pierre Dimba. Both sides discussed bilateral cooperation relations, particularly in the field of social protection.
Meziane Belfkih also held bilateral talks with the Ministers of Health of Senegal and Zambia.
During the second day of this event, the Moroccan delegation held meetings with private Czech companies active in the health sector, including institutions that already have knowledge of the Moroccan market.
The Moroccan delegation presented the potential of the Moroccan health sector to a number of companies in order to encourage them to invest in this sector, which is experiencing a global boom thanks to royal directives.
The delegation concluded its participation in this conference with a visit to the military hospital in Prague.
