Kuala Lumpur BJJ International Open: Moroccan Mohsin Attaf Wins Silver Medal

Kuala Lumpur – Moroccan champion Mohsin Attaf won Sunday the silver medal (- 100 kg) at the Kuala Lumpur BJJ International Open, held for the first time in the Malaysian capital.

The 43-year-old judoka lost in the final to an Iranian opponent.

Attaf told MAP he was very proud to represent Morocco in Malaysia, adding that this silver medal will be a source motivation for the next sports events.

“After my injury in December 2019, I managed to win a silver medal during my first participation this year. I am satisfied with this result which motivates me to do even better at the next competitions,” he added.

The Moroccan judoka is expected to participate in April at the “Copa da Malaysia” as well as in the Judo world championship scheduled for June 2020 in Tokyo.

Last December, Attaf won the gold medal (-100 kg) at the Borneo open judo championship, held in Malaysia.
