The Muslim faithful of Nouna performed this Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Nouna town hall square, the Eid El Fitr prayer marking the end of the fast. It was ImSm Gaoussou Dao who officiated the prayer. They prayed for peace and the fighting forces.
Muslims in the city of Nouna celebrated the festival of Ramadan in a spirit of solidarity and social cohesion, this Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the town hall of Nouna, under the office of Imam Gaoussou Dao who prayed for peace in Burkina Faso.
He also implored Allah’s protection for the defense and security forces and the volunteers for the defense of the homeland who watch over the population night and day.
The customary administrative authorities, traditional religious, military and paramilitary were present alongside their Muslim brothers.
The High Commissioner of the Kossi province, Noufo Dembelé, first greeted the Muslim community for the efforts made during this month of penitence and the prayers for the return of peace to Burkina Faso.
He then salut
ed the other communities for the solidarity shown during this period, a guarantee of cohesion and harmony between the communities.
