Kénédougou/Patriotic Support Fund: The commune of Samogohiri mobilizes more than 4 million CFA


The High Commissioner of the province of Kénédougou, Saïdou Sakira, received this Thursday, April 11, 2024, a financial envelope of 4,004,500 FCFA, offered by the rural commune of Samogohiri as support to the Defense Forces and Security (FDS) of the province and to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) of the said municipality.

The commune of Samogohiri mobilized a total sum of 4,004,500 CFA francs, as a contribution to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) of the province and to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the said commune.

The sum was handed over on Thursday April 11, 2024 and was distributed as follows, 2,004,500 FCFA for the Patriotic Support Fund, 1,000,000 FCFA for the provincial FDS and 1,000,000 FCFA for the VDP of the Samogohiri commune.

Through this gesture, the municipality of Samogohiri intends to encourage the transitional government in its efforts to secure the country and especially in the field of endogenous development.

According to the spokesp
erson for the population of the rural commune of Samogohiri, Siaka Traoré alias ”ASSEC”, this donation follows the appeal of the Head of State to support the Patriotic Support Fund.

While positively welcoming this gesture on the part of the populations of the rural commune of Samogohiri, the High Commissioner of the province of Kénédougou, Saïdou Sakira, invited the other communes to follow in their footsteps.

He reassured donors that their contribution will be passed on to the appropriate person.
