According to Burkina Information Agency, the event, held at the Koubri district police station at 7:30 a.m., drew a large crowd, demonstrating civic fervor and collective commitment to the nation. Through this act, the Burkinabe reaffirmed their attachment to the motherland.

Chaired by the president of the special delegation (PDS) of Koubri, Samade Leonard Gougou, this solemn moment was accompanied by the national anthem, Le Ditanye, sung in chorus by the participants in an atmosphere of respect and patriotism.

Following the flag-raising, Koubri District Police Commissioner Paterne Boussim expressed his satisfaction: “It is with real pleasure and great honor to host this ceremony. Everyone’s presence reflects a deep sense of patriotism,” he said.

The PDS emphasized that this is a symbol of unity and
shared belonging to the Burkinabe nation. He also paid a glowing tribute to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS).

“They are leading merciless battles, often to the point of ultimate sacrifice, to protect people and their property,” he recalled, before inviting the population to show them increased and unwavering support.

The chairman of the special delegation then emphasized another concern: hygiene and sanitation in the municipality.

Aware of the importance of the image that Koubri projects as the main gateway to the capital Ouagadougou, he urged citizens to take concrete actions marked by civic responsibility.

The ceremony also featured the introduction of the new head of the departmental livestock service, Kiswendsida Henri Compaore. It concluded with a guided tour of the police station’s grove, a symbol of a green and peaceful setting within the police institution.

Continuing its intervention, the PDS congratulated the hardworking people for their massive participation, on August 16, in the weeding
work of the 6-hectare communal field, an activity that is part of the Presidential Agro-Pastoral Initiative launched by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore.

Through this flag-raising ceremony, the commune of Koubri demonstrates its desire to remain united and committed to facing national challenges.
