Govt. Chief Highlights Solidity of ‘Long-standing and Deep’ Relations between Morocco and China

Rabat – Head of government, Saad Dine El Otmani, highlighted, on Thursday in Rabat, the solidity of relations between Morocco and China, describing them as “long-standing and deep”.

In a meeting with the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Morocco, Li Li, who handed him a message from the Chinese Prime minister, El Otmani stressed the continued support of HM King Mohammed VI to these relations, which have seen a tremendous boost after the royal visit to Beijing in 2016, says a statement by the head of government’s department.

After emphasizing Morocco’s determination to further promote bilateral relations, the head of government conveyed to Li Li his wishes of success to China in its efforts to combat the Coronavirus epidemic, the same source adds.

For his part, the Chinese official gave an overview of his country’s efforts to deal with the epidemic, saying that those efforts had reduced the number of new infections and deaths.

Li Li also expressed his thanks to HM the King and the Kingdom for the moral support given to his country after the outbreak of the epidemic, noting that China highly appreciates Morocco and wishes to strengthen and develop Chinese-Moroccan relations.
