This security operation was conducted at the “Ghriss El Aloui” municipality located about 7 KM from the city of Er-Rich, the Directorate General of National Security (DGNS) said in a statement, stating that the suspect was arrested in a commercial vehicle bearing false license plates, in flagrante delicto possession of 40 packages of chira with a total weight of one ton.
The searches conducted in this case have also allowed the seizure of six false license plates and a sum of money that could be the spoils of this criminal activity, adds the same source.
The accused was subjected to the judicial investigation supervised by the competent prosecutor to determine the possible other ramifications of this criminal activity, while research and investigations are continuing to question other accomplices in these criminal acts, concludes the DGSN.
