Documents Handed by Officials to People Working at Health Emergency Are Sufficient to Go Exclusively to Work Places – Ministry

Rabat – Documents handed by officials in the public and private sectors to people affected by work during the health emergency remain sufficient to go exclusively to work places, without resorting to the exceptional movement permit issued by local authorities, the ministry of the interior said Friday.

As part of its approach to communicating with national public opinion to explain the measures taken to deal with the spread of the coronavirus in the country, particularly the need to receive the exceptional movement permit required to justify movements outside residence places, the ministry of the interior announces that local authorities will ensure the distribution of these permits to all homes, which means that it is not necessary to go to administrations to obtain them, the ministry added in a release, noting that the exceptional movement permit is also available at http://covid19.interieur.gov.ma, which was launched by the ministry.

This permit exclusively concerns adults, who can also ensure the displacement of children who are under their responsibility in case of extreme necessity and within the limits of the exceptions already announced, the source said.

These permits remain valid until the end of the “health emergency”, it said, adding that people have to mention the reason of their presence outside home when necessary.

These permits are aimed at encouraging and convincing citizens to stay at home and to leave their homes only when necessary, it added.

The ministry commends the great patriotic spirit shown by citizens and expresses its confidence that people will fully support and implement these measures in full collaboration with local authorities for the general interest of the Moroccan people.
