Hauts-Bassins: The official opening of the CEP_2025 examination session took place in the Hauts-Bassins region. The event marked the commencement of exams for the 49,375 registered candidates, with a significant representation of 26,551 girls and 22,824 boys across 76 juries and 255 composition centers.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was presided over by Mrs. Mariama KONAT‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦¡¬°_GNANOU, the Governor of the Hauts-Bassins region, alongside Mr. Soilliou KARANTAO, Regional Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education of Hauts-Bassins, and Mr. Raoul TUINA, Provincial Director of Education of Houet. The Governor, joined by a large delegation, visited examination rooms, encouraging candidates to remain calm and confident, urging them to apply their knowledge effectively during the exams.
The examination session began with the opening of the first envelope containing the essay test, a symbolic act performed by the regional authority. Over the course of three days, candidates will undertake written, oral, and sports tests. The Governor expressed gratitude to educators and supervisors for their dedication throughout the school year and extended her best wishes for a successful outcome for all candidates.
Mr. Soilliou KARANTAO reported that all necessary organizational and material preparations have been completed. However, he noted an incident where a storm had damaged the roof of an exam center two weeks prior to the exams. Prompt action was taken to relocate the center, ensuring that the examinations would proceed without disruption.
In addition to the commencement of exams, a national flag-raising ceremony was conducted at 7:00 a.m. at the Bama “A” examination center, attended by both administrative and educational authorities. The Governor also visited a school under construction at this examination center, highlighting the region’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure.
