The report is part of the periodic thematic reports issued by the Agency to keep pace with the rapid changes affecting the reality of the Holy City and aspects of life in it, through a daily monitoring of the social and economic situation carried out by the “Arribat” Observatory, under the Agency in Al-Quds, in an attempt to provide appropriate answers to the troubling questions that these difficult conditions in the Holy City pose today.

The report shows that the living conditions in East Al Quds have become unbearable in light of the psychological and spatial harassment that suffocates the Arab population, through systematic procedures that lack justice, fairness, equal opportunities and equality before the law.

It adds that with the shrinking of the area granted to the Palestinians, the residents of Al Quds complain of chronic problems affecting infrastructure and facilities, and they demand the maintenance of roads and the connection of neighborhoods with each other through a complete network of streets, the restoration of commercial areas in the Holy City and its private markets, and an increase in the cleaning of public roads and other basic services.

The report points out that the lack of development programs in the Arab neighborhoods of East Al Quds has resulted in a shortage of the road network, just as this neglect has also resulted in a shortage of paved and equipped streets, in addition to the fact that the available road network does not meet the needs of the population due to its narrowness and meandering nature, and lacks sidewalks.
