Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré announced Thursday during the meeting with the strong forces of the nation, that a military equipment program in which the people will be the main actor, is underway to make the Burkinabè army the most powerful in the African sub-region.
» There will be a recruitment of 10,000 soldiers to strengthen the strength of our army. We want our army to reach a level never equaled in the sub-region,’ declared the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Thursday at the Forces Vives.
According to him, many villages continue to request assistance from the FDS in the face of terrorist threats.
‘Terrorists are of no religion. There is no alliance with the terrorists, or we fight them; or they fight us. We opted for combat. For this, we have doubled the equipment,’ said the Head of State.
