60 years of the Burkina Faso Information Agency: A rise of colors followed by a tree planting in Sidwaya-Bobo

Bobo-Dioulasso: The Burkina Information Agency (AIB) celebrated its 60th anniversary on Monday, May 27, 2024. At the Western Regional Directorate of Editions Sidwaya (DRO), in Bobo-Dioulasso, the staff marked this celebration on Tuesday May 28, 2024 with a raising of the national colors followed by a tree planting.

The Western Regional Directorate of Editions Sidwaya (DRO) also celebrated the 60 years of existence of the Burkina Information Agency (AIB).

To do this, staff mobilized for the raising of the national colors preceded by a tree planting in the morning on Tuesday May 28, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso.

The Western Regional Director, Patinéma Oumar Ouédraogo, indicated that this celebration is intended to be a way of magnifying the AIB and all its stakeholders.

‘They are spread across the 45 provinces of the country and make information available to the people of Burkina Faso every day,’ he said.

The AIB, in its capacity as an information wholesaler, insisted Patinéma Oumar Ouédraogo, is ‘very important
‘ and is part of Burkina Faso’s information heritage.

This morning of celebration was also an opportunity for the first head of the DRO to pay tribute to the alumni of the AIB.

‘It is also an opportunity to pay tribute to all the predecessors who worked night and day and ensured that the agency could exist to this day,’ said Mr. Ouédraogo.

He also called on all agents and collaborators of the agency to always keep the torch high. ‘It is an invitation to all AIBs to continue to always make information available to the public on a daily basis,’ launched Patinéma Oumar Ouédraogo
